Bridport Folk Festival is back for another year with a variety of performances and activities to enjoy. The festival showcases a range of talent and promises a weekend of music and entertainment.

Bridport Folk Festival is back for another year and is now well underway in the town. In aid of Alzheimer's Society and Mountjoy School, the festival promises a great weekend of music and fun. It's set across three stages in Millennium Green, Bucky Doo Square, and Borough Gardens. Day tickets are available for £6. As well as performances across the town, some of which are free, there is a headline concert tonight (tickets £20) in the marquee on Millennium Green with Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, The Countrymen, Antoine & Owena, and Boilerhouse.
Some of the Morris sides appearing include Dr Turberville’s Morris based in Somerset, Weymouth-based The Festus Derriman, Frome Valley Morris which are also from Dorset, Isambard’s Gasket Rats from the Teign Valley, No Mean Feet which are a team of Appalachian dancers and Cynewulf Morris. Other acts include the 'next generation of folk music' Badgerfox, local shanty band the Bridport Broadsides, Portland trio The Coves, Dorset Red Choir, alternative folk music singer-songwriter Jodie Elms, Kitty Puss String Band, Mor or Less from Burton Bradstock, Polly Morris, Rough Assembly, and Two Bean Stew.
