Alarm as tickets are sold for cancelled Hanwell music festival

Entertainment lovers who purchased tickets for the PALOP Festival at Elthorne Park in Hanwell are in distress, as the event has been called off. The festival was confirmed as cancelled last week by Lollipop Events, the production company in charge of the event. Despite multiple attempts to contact the event promoter, they have not responded to calls or emails from Ealing Council. The council is troubled by the fact that tickets are still being sold for an event that will not take place.

Concerns and Precautions

Ealing Council has taken measures to prevent any unauthorised activities in the park where the music festival was supposed to take place. Security and park services are on standby to ensure that no infrastructure is built. The police have also been informed about the situation. The council has expressed their worry about the lack of communication from the event promoter and the misleading information being shared on social media.

Response from Lollipop Events

In a statement released by Lollipop Events, they expressed their regret over the cancellation of the London edition of PALOP Festival. The organisers cited unforeseen circumstances that made it impossible to proceed with the event. However, they assured ticket holders that the PALOP Festival in Leeds on July 27 will proceed as planned. London ticket holders have been offered transportation to the Leeds event as an alternative, with refunds available upon request.

About PALOP Festival

PALOP Festival is described as a celebration of various music genres including Afrobeats, Afrohouse, Brazilian funk, and world music. Despite the setback in London, the festival will continue in Leeds as scheduled.

Overall, ticket holders and fans of the PALOP Festival are left disappointed by the turn of events and are eagerly awaiting further updates and clarifications.
