Soul Sister

Tina Turner is undoubtedly one of the greatest talents ever to grace the music industry scene, having had a career that has timed half a century.

Soul Sister is the highly anticipated show that everyone has been rushing out to see. After a successful run at the Savoy theatre in London’s West End last year the musical, which is inspired by the life and music of Tina Turner and husband Ike, is now playing a variety of shows around the UK and has currently made its stop at Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre. The show takes a long journey down memory lane, as the couple’s careers reached their highest points whilst their marriage hit an utter low.

Tina Turner is undoubtedly one of the greatest talents ever to grace the music industry scene, having had a career that has timed half a century. She has a countless number of hits to her name including Simply the best, River Deep Mountain High, Let’s stay together and Proud Mary, which are some of the many songs by the diva that will have you up on your feet.

Written by John Miller and Peter Brooks, the show features exceptional talents Emi Wokoma (previously credited for her part in the West End show of Hairspray,) and Chris Tummings (well known for his role in Stratford East’s The Harder They Come and The Big Life.)

Featuring a collection of dazzling outfits, brilliant on-screen graphics and superb choreography, this fabulous cast, including a terrific live house band will guarantee you a great night out.

This musical is all about how hard work, determination and standing up for what you believe in will defeat all odds. A powerful and uplifting show with a whole lot of soul!
