The musical icon joins Grace Jones, PJ Harvey, Sia, Massive Attack & Young Fathers, Skepta and many more for the Swedish festival

Morrissey will join Way Out West for its 10th anniversary in Sweden's music capital of Gothenburg this year, 11th - 13th August. The legendary British singer-songwriter is yet another huge addition to the festival line-up which will see international talent perform to thousands including Sia, PJ Harvey, Grace Jones, CHVRCHES, Haim, Skepta, Jamie xx and many more.

Former frontman of The Smiths and solo superstar Morrissey jets to Way Out West in August. The outspoken star is an iconic lyricist of his generation and one of the most fascinating artists to ever come out of the British music scene. With a slew of revered studio albums under his belt including Viva Hate, Bona Dog, Kill Uncle and Your Arsenal along with his acclaimed 10th studio album World Peace Is None of Your Business, Way Out West fans are in for a very special show this summer.

Committed to making its 10th anniversary the biggest year yet, last week Way Out West revealed the addition of another icon to its stages, Grace Jones. Some of the world's biggest and revered artists are onboard for the festival including Chvrches, Daughter, Jamie xx, Julia Holter, Massive Attack & Young Fathers, PJ Harvey, Sia, Skepta, Stormzy, The Last Shadow Puppets and Travi$ Scott with even more surprises still to be announced.

Stay Out West runs alongside Way Out West at night, giving revellers an unmissable chance to see acts of the highest calibre play in the best and most unique venues in the beautiful city of Gothenburg. Already announced for Stay Out West are AlunaGeorge, Lady Leshurr, Dua Lipa, Section Boyz and many more.

Like its new musical addition, Morrissey, Way Out West Festival has a strong focus on being environmentally friendly and was the first festival in Sweden to become KRAV-certified. Citing environmental reasons, the festival announced on the evening before the first day of the 2012 festival that all food served to artists, staff and visitors during the festival would be vegetarian. This year the festival will also turn its taps off to milk offering oat substitutes as a welcome alternative taking pioneering steps to help save our planet.

Way Out West will be returning to its home in Slottskogen Park from 11th - 13th of August for one of Europe's biggest celebrations of music. Tickets are now on sale for 2016, with weekend tickets costing around £168 as well as a number of reduced price tickets on sale every month, incrementally increasing by £10 each month. Tickets and more info are available at www.wayoutwest.se/en.
