16 May 2020 Spike Island, Upper Mersey Road, Widnes, WA80DG
2020 sees a lot of momentous things happening. There will be a new American president, who might be the same one that's in the White House right now and the UK might be out of the EU. But, music lovers, do you care about all that if we mention that Spike Island, the legendary, era-defining and definitive live performance by The Stone Roses at the height of their majestic baggy powers, turns 30 years old in 2020, there is only one thing on your mind.
In honour of the occasion, Spike Island is once again going to playhost to another day of music. This time with a decidedly tribute feel. Premier Stone Roses tribute act The Clone Roses take to the stage headlining over a selection of seemingly popular covers and tribute bands.
