By Car: Turnpost Farm is located just north of Loughborough and is easily reached via the M1 motorway (take junction 23 or 24 and follow signs for Loughborough). From there, follow local festival signs via the A6 toward Wymeswold/Barrow upon Soar – the site will be clearly signposted. If you’re arriving from Nottingham or Derby, use the A46 to connect with the A6 north of Leicester, then follow the signs toward Wymeswold. On arrival, look for parking attendants who will direct you to the designated car park. Parking is ample and free, but camping in the parking area is not allowed. We recommend car-sharing where possible and allowing extra travel time on a busy Bank Holiday weekend.
By Train and Coach: The nearest train station is Loughborough (about 8 miles away), with regular services from Nottingham, Leicester and London. From Loughborough you can take a taxi (about 20 minutes) or see if the festival runs shuttle buses to Wymeswold. Nottingham’s East Midlands Parkway station (near the airport) is another rail option, after which you would need a bus or taxi. On festival days there may also be special coach transfers from Leicester or Nottingham, so check updates closer to the event date. National Express coaches serve nearby cities (Leicester, Nottingham, Derby etc.); from those cities connect by local train or taxi to reach Wymeswold.
By Air: The closest airport is East Midlands (EMA), roughly a 15-minute drive from the festival site. EMA has flights to destinations across the UK and Europe. From EMA you can hire a car or take a taxi directly to Wymeswold. Other nearby airports include Birmingham (about 50 miles, ~1 hour drive) and Manchester (about 80 miles, ~1.5 hour drive). Both airports have rail links, allowing you to travel by train to Leicester or Nottingham and then continue by road. (London airports are much farther away, so for convenience EMA or Birmingham are recommended.)
Accommodation: Many attendees camp on-site (tents, campervans or glamping tents), so bring your gear or book a glamp pitch in advance. The campsite provides clean toilets, showers and drinking-water taps. If you prefer indoor lodging, book early! Wymeswold village itself has a couple of pubs and B&Bs with rooms. Larger options are in Loughborough, Leicester and Nottingham (each within a 30-40 minute drive) which offer many hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses. The late-May weekend is very busy, so rooms in the wider area fill up fast. Consider also checking out smaller villages around Charnwood for hidden gems and booking well in advance.
