Electric Bay is a vibrant three-day festival set on the stunning southern coast of England, bringing unforgettable music and lively summer energy to Torquay. Happening from July 10th through 12th, 2026, it will transform the cozy Torquay Blues Club into a bustling hub of sound and celebration. The festival offers something for everyone: dynamic live bands, top DJs spinning infectious beats, and a festive seaside atmosphere that captures the laid-back spirit of the English Riviera. Over this summer weekend, the club’s intimate stage comes alive with an eclectic lineup of musical talent from the region and beyond, offering everything from soulful blues and jazz grooves to high-energy rock and electrifying electronic tunes. Whether you’re a local or traveling from afar, the festival’s friendly vibe and stunning coastal setting make Electric Bay the perfect summer getaway.

Each day of Electric Bay is packed with non-stop music and entertainment designed to keep the energy high. As the sun sets, the stage lights up with new performances starting with soulful blues and jazz and then morphing into lively rock and pulsating electronic dance anthems. Top DJs and bands (both local favorites and up-and-coming artists) will have everyone dancing until late, promising unforgettable performances and surprise special guests. Between acts, festival-goers can explore rows of food stalls and pop-up bars featuring local craft beers, Devonshire ales, and tasty street foods, keeping you refreshed, refueled, and ready for more. From laid-back afternoon sets to jump-out-of-your-seat finales each night, Electric Bay delivers a nonstop party by the sea.

In addition to the great music, Electric Bay is all about the vibes. The relaxed seaside setting of Torquay means you’ll feel a gentle ocean breeze even as you dance the night away. Between performances, attendees can grab a locally brewed ale or craft soda, stroll outside to admire creative art installations, or simply relax on the sandy beach just steps away from the venue, making the festival a treat for all the senses. There’s something for everyone here: families might kick back with a picnic while kids enjoy lawn games, and night owls can lose themselves under the stars on the dance floor. Throughout the weekend, a warm, welcoming crowd of locals and visitors mingles happily, creating memories that will last long after the final song fades out.

As Electric Bay draws to a close on its final night, you’ll leave Torquay with new friends, new favorite tunes, and incredible memories. From sunrise coffee strolls on the beach (perfect for your morning recovery) to dancing late into the night, this festival packs everything you love about summer music weekends into one unforgettable experience. So mark your calendars: Electric Bay offers the perfect soundtrack to a summer to remember. We can’t wait to see you by the bay!

Torquay is easily accessible via multiple modes of transport. For example, the Torquay railway station lies in the heart of the town and is served by routes connecting to London, Exeter, and other cities in the Southwest. There are regular services from London Paddington (via Exeter St Davids) or from London Waterloo (via Exeter and Newton Abbot) directly to Torquay, making the journey simple. From the station, the Torquay Blues Club is roughly a mile away (about a 15–20 minute walk) or a short taxi ride. If you prefer to fly, the nearest airport is Exeter International Airport (about 30 to 40 miles north, roughly a one-hour drive). From Exeter Airport, travelers can take a coach or train to Torquay, or hire a car along the scenic A380 route. Bristol Airport is another option (around a two-hour drive away), and direct coach services also link London and other cities to Torquay for those coming from afar.

By car, Torquay can be reached via the M5 motorway and then the A380/A3022 heading down along the English Riviera. From Exeter city centre, the A380 takes you directly towards Torbay in about an hour. From London or the Midlands, the journey is around 4-5 hours by car (depending on traffic) to reach Torbay. The postcode TQ2 5HJ will guide you directly to the festival venue. Do note that parking around the town centre and seafront can fill up quickly on summer weekends, so plan ahead. While the Torquay Blues Club has limited on-site spaces, you’ll find several public car parks in town. Once in Torquay itself, the area is fairly compact and pedestrian-friendly, but local buses and taxis are available if needed. If you’re staying in nearby areas like Paignton or Brixham, frequent bus services can bring you into Torquay’s centre in about 15 minutes.

When it comes to accommodation, Torquay has a wide variety of options to suit different budgets and tastes. You’ll find hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments, and B&Bs throughout the town, many located near the seafront or in the town centre for easy access to the festival venue. Because Electric Bay is a popular summer event, it’s wise to book your stay well in advance. In addition to lodging in Torquay itself, you might also consider nearby coastal towns like Paignton or Brixham, which have their own selection of hotels and inns and are just a short drive or bus ride away. For a more outdoorsy option, there are campsites and holiday parks in the Torbay area offering tent pitches and caravan spaces. Wherever you stay, you’ll find that Torquay’s promenade, harbour, and local dining options make it easy to fill your downtime between festival evenings.
