The Chippenham Folk Festival is celebrating its 44th year in 2015 and it has grown considerably since its launch in Lacock in 1972. The festival has moved into the larger town but has a village atmosphere and a quintessentially English feel.
The line-up so far includes a wide range of recognised folk acts including: Andrew Swaine, English Contra Dance Band, Frances Richardson, Joe Hodgson, Keeping Thyme, Lisa Greenleaf (USA), Stick Shift, The Falconers, Folkus Pocus, Frances Oates, John & Karen Sweeney, Anne Daye, Dampiers Round, David & Kathryn Wright, Pendragon, Perfect Cure, Pete Hendy, Rhodri Davies, Ros Batchelor, and Weston Country Dance Band.
There will also be a full children’s programme organised and the main festival area also has a large craft marquee, plenty of catering options and the open air arena where you can enjoy the music.
