Atmosphere

Set against Victoria Park’s green lawns and historic fountains, the festival offers lively concerts by day and illuminated, magical nights. With chill-out areas and friendly crowds, All Points East is a welcoming celebration of East London’s culture and creativity.

Victoria Park is very well connected to central London and beyond. The nearest Tube stations are Mile End (District, Central and Hammersmith & City lines) and Bethnal Green (Central line), each about a 10-15 minute walk away. Overground trains also stop nearby at Cambridge Heath and Hackney Wick. Several buses (for example routes 8, 277, 309, 339, 388, D3 and D6) run along the park’s edge, providing connections across the city. The venue is also bike-friendly: the park has dedicated cycle parking (just bring a lock), and London's public bike scheme has many pick-up points in the area.

By train and plane, Tower Hamlets is easy to reach. London City Airport - just a short ride away - offers quick DLR service into the city. The larger airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton) all have regular trains or express coaches to central London; from there you can take the Underground (for example the Central line to Mile End or Bethnal Green) to reach Victoria Park. If you arrive by mainline train, London Liverpool Street is the closest major terminal - it is only a couple of Tube stops away. By road, Tower Hamlets is served by the A11 and A12, but parking near the park is very limited (road closures are common during events). It is generally easier to use taxis or rideshares, which can drop you off at a nearby point.

Visitors will find many accommodation options in and around the area. Popular choices include Shoreditch, Canary Wharf and Stratford, all of which have convenient transit links into Tower Hamlets. There are also plenty of hotels, B&Bs and apartments in neighborhoods like Bethnal Green, Hackney Wick or Whitechapel. Because late August is a busy festival week, it is wise to book your stay well in advance. Lodging near a Tube or Overground station will make traveling to the festival each day quick and easy.
