Alanis Morissette Announced as Saturday Headliner for Brand New UK Festival State Fayre 2026

Seven-time GRAMMY Award winner Alanis Morissette has been revealed as the Saturday night headliner for State Fayre 2026, a brand new major UK camping festival launching next summer.

Taking place from 26–28 June 2026 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, State Fayre promises a huge debut weekend of live music, food and culture – all less than 30 minutes from London.

Alanis Morissette joins an already stellar line-up, with Skunk Anansie also newly added to the bill alongside previously announced headliners Kings of Leon and The Lumineers.

The weekend will also feature performances from The Black Crowes, Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, Counting Crows, Stephen Wilson Jr., Jack Savoretti, Orville Peck, Sierra Ferrell, KT Tunstall and many more, with further announcements still to come.

A Landmark Return for Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette’s State Fayre appearance follows one of the most acclaimed UK summers of her career, including a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena and a career-defining first appearance at Glastonbury.

Since the release of her iconic 1995 debut Jagged Little Pill, Morissette has released nine further albums and remains one of the most influential voices in contemporary music, with timeless hits including Ironic, You Oughta Know, Hand In My Pocket and Thank U.

Skunk Anansie Join the Line-Up

Formed in London in 1994, Skunk Anansie are one of the UK’s most powerful and enduring rock bands. Fronted by the unmistakable Skin, the band are known for their explosive live shows and genre-blending sound, with classic tracks such as Weak and Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good).

Music, BBQ and Americana

With a capacity of around 30,000, State Fayre describes itself as the UK’s largest music and barbecue festival, bringing a true taste of Americana to British festival-goers.

Alongside three main music stages, the festival will host The FUME Pit, curated by BBQ specialists FUME, featuring award-winning pitmasters, live cooking demonstrations and some of the biggest BBQ rigs in the UK.

Festival-goers can also expect craft beers, cocktails and non-alcoholic bars, vegetarian and vegan food traders, boutique camping options, state-fair rides and activities.
