Festival Crowd Header

Wychwood Festival have announced world music extraordinaires The Gipsy Kings ft Nicolas Reyes & Tonino Baliardo as their Saturday night main stage headliners.

The festival, which takes place on 1st - 3rd June 2018, have also added the likes of Baxter Dury, Shed Seven, Feeder, Ten Tonnes, The Beat ft Ranking Roger, The Go! Team, Nina Nesbitt, LUCIA & The Barsteward Sons of Val Doonican to the line up, with many more still to be announced for one of the UK's most popular family festivals.

One of the summer's best-loved family festival has a brand new look and feel and a programme that is set to surpise, delight and entertain this summer.

Headlining the main stage  will be the undisputed kings of flamenco, salsa and pop infusion The Gipsy Kings, who will be delighting crowds with their irresistible marriage of traditional Spanish and Western pop music. With mammoth hits such as 'Bamboleo', there's no doubt the surrounding fields of Gloucestershire will be ringing out with the sounds of the rumba.

Another headliner freshly announced is indie powerhouse Baxter Dury. Son of the late, great Ian Dury, Baxter has developed his own musical style of compelling story-telling with just a hint of his rock and roll legacy. His 2017 album 'Prince of Tears' has been hailed as his best yet, and is sure to mesmerise the Wychwood audience.

The final headliner to be announced is none other than 90's Britpop stalwarts Shed Seven, who'll be bringing their own inimitable brand of indie to the delight of the Wychwood crowds. Also performing will be The Go! Team, whose unique mix of indie rock, garage rock, hip-hop, samples and everything in between promises to have every member of the family on their feet and dancing.

Other performances come from veteran ska-punk rockers The Beat ft Ranking Roger and Scottish voice of an angel Nina Nesbitt, as well as alternative rock legends Feeder. Also  will be Ten Tonnes with his distinctive blend of indie and 50s rock'n'roll, LUCIA and The Barsteward Sons of Val Doonican.

Wychwood's plentiful programme of arts, culture and family activities returns, and for 2018 there will be an abundance of games and mayhem to get involved in. From World Class Street Theatre, side-splitting comedy shows, thought-provoking talks and story-telling from leading children’s authors, all ages have been lovingly catered for. And there’s plenty of workshops to take part in too. Learn a new skill in the crafts area, try your hand at circus skills, sing your heart out, or practice your swing moves and dazzle on the dance floor. Indulge in the bursting programme of colourful arts workshops, join the carnival parade or challenge friends in a volleyball tournament. Those looking to relax and rejuvenate can head over to the Wellbeing area where expert therapists are on hand offering an array of massage therapies and yoga classes for all ages and abilities.
