From Thursday 18 June through Sunday 21 June 2026, Towerfest invites country music lovers to Festival Fields in picturesque North Yorkshire. Nestled near the village of Drax, this four-day open-air country music festival is widely celebrated as one of the North of England's friendliest and most authentic gatherings of its kind. Each June, fans from far and wide pitch their tents or pull up their caravans in the rolling fields to experience live performances, community spirit, and the charm of rural Yorkshire. Towerfest is more than just a series of concerts: it is a down-to-earth celebration where the warm smiles and southern hospitality of the countryside help every visitor feel at home.

For Towerfest 2026, expect an excellent lineup headlined by big-name country and Americana acts, as well as dynamic up-and-coming artists. The festival kicks off on Thursday evening with an intimate party in the local clubhouse, then shifts to the expansive open-air main stage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for full days of performances. Whether you are tapping your boots to classic country, swaying to bluegrass, or rocking out to country-rock, the enthusiastic live bands bring something for all tastes. After the live shows wind down each night, the excitement continues - DJs and acoustic jams keep the music going on the dancefloor and around the campfire under the starry sky.

Comfortable festival camping is a definite highlight at Towerfest. The fields are flat and well-drained, with clearly marked pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes, plus convenient water and electric hook-up points. You will be greeted on arrival by friendly staff who will help you settle in and point out all the amenities. The site is fully equipped with facilities including clean shower blocks, portable toilets, and a licensed bar to keep the refreshments flowing. In the early morning you might enjoy the convenience of a newspaper delivered right to your tent. Throughout the day and night, the festival's delicious wide-ranging food options ensure you will never go hungry - think wholesome breakfasts, barbecue treats, and camp-friendly snacks - all complemented by local real ales and refreshing drinks available at the on-site bars and pubs.

What truly sets Towerfest apart is its atmosphere. Many festival-goers come back year after year, a clear sign that something special happens here. Around every corner you will find smiling faces ready to share stories, join a spontaneous line dance, or sit around the fire for a friendly chat. Kids and families are welcome too, with dedicated family camping zones and activity areas, making it a great weekend for all ages. In between sets, take time to browse the charming market area where merchants sell festival gear, crafts, and souvenirs to remember your trip. The emphasis is on having fun together in a safe, relaxed environment where everyone can feel like part of the Towerfest family.
