Join us at Todd in the Hole, the much-loved midsummer music festival for families and friends! From July 10-12, 2026, the Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre in Hertfordshire will come alive with three days of live music, vibrant performances, and community spirit. This friendly festival feels just like a big family party, with something exciting happening at every turn. Whether you're catching an up-and-coming band or dancing to a world-famous tribute act, you'll feel right at home in the crowd.

At Todd in the Hole, music really takes center stage. We have stages showcasing everything from rock and indie to pop and folk. Our lineup includes spirited tribute bands, high-energy cover acts and talented local artists, so there's something for every taste. From classic hits to original songs, you'll be dancing and singing along all weekend long. Plus, our sound and production are top-notch—every note is crystal clear, whether you're up close or relaxing on the lawn.

Todd in the Hole is truly family-friendly. A dedicated kids' area is packed with stage shows and activities to delight little ones—everything from storytelling and music to circus skills. Parents can relax knowing there’s plenty to entertain children all day. Teens and adults, meanwhile, can browse art installations, explore quirky market stalls or even try a peaceful yoga session in our wellness zone. All around the field, families picnic under the sun or laugh together at roaming performers – it’s the perfect place to make summer memories.

No festival is complete without great food and drink. Todd in the Hole has mouthwatering street food stalls and vintage bars. Savor everything from wood-fired pizzas and gourmet burgers to vegan treats, loaded fries and classic fish & chips—all freshly made on site. Wash it down with craft ales, artisanal cocktails or a refreshing lemonade, and don’t forget an ice cream for dessert! The festival market is also full of standout local crafts and unique merch for that special souvenir.

The setting for Todd in the Hole is part of the fun too. Set against the Hertfordshire countryside, the festival grounds include leafy woods and open fields. By day you can wander the site discovering surprise performances or relax under a shady tree; by night the forest transforms into a dance area where DJs spin tunes and people dance under the stars. From lounging on a picnic blanket after a BBQ to cheering on local artists, you’ll love the warm sense of community that fills the air. It's the kind of festival where old friends reconnect and new friendships are made.

Attendees often call Todd in the Hole "the perfect-size festival": big enough to feel exciting, yet small enough to chat with the bands and secure a front-row spot. The friendly crowds and short queues mean it’s all about enjoying every minute. Whether you're coming with family, friends, or making new ones along the way, Todd in the Hole promises a magical weekend of smiles, singalongs, and surprises at every turn. We can't wait to welcome you to Stevenage and introduce you to the Todd family experience!

By train: Stevenage is on the East Coast Main Line, making the festival easy to reach. Frequent trains run from London King's Cross (or via St Pancras on Thameslink) to Stevenage in about 20–30 minutes. Cambridge is also accessible by rail (roughly 20–25 minutes away), as are cities like Peterborough and Leicester. From Stevenage railway station, it’s just a short taxi or bus ride to the Arts & Leisure Centre. Buses such as the No.100 or 387 will bring you close to Lytton Way, and the walk from nearby stops takes about 10–15 minutes.

By car: Stevenage sits just off the A1(M), which connects directly to London’s M25. From London, take the M25 north and join the A1(M) northbound, exiting at the junction signed for Stevenage Town Centre. Drivers from the north or Midlands should head south on the A1(M). The Arts & Leisure Centre is well signposted in town. Parking is available nearby but can be limited during a busy festival weekend, so car-sharing or public transport is recommended. Use the postcode SG1 1LZ for your sat nav and allow extra time for summer traffic.

By air: The closest airports are London Luton (about 25 miles away, roughly a 30–35 minute drive) and London Stansted (about 45 miles, around an hour by car). Luton Airport also has a train station (Luton Airport Parkway) with services to Stevenage (via Thameslink) in roughly 35–45 minutes. Stansted Express runs to Cambridge, where you can change for Stevenage by train in just under an hour. Heathrow and Gatwick are farther (around 1–2 hours by road), but have good train connections via central London. In general, taking a train or coach into London and then a direct train to Stevenage is often the fastest way.

Accommodation: Stevenage and its surroundings offer plenty of options. In town you’ll find hotel chains (Premier Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Travelodge, etc.) near the station and town centre, as well as friendly B&Bs and inns. The picturesque towns of Hitchin and Letchworth (10–15 minutes by car) have additional guesthouses and country hotels. Check if the festival provides camping or glamping packages if you’re adventurous! Since summer weekends can be busy, we encourage booking accommodations early to secure the best choices.
