With a history dating back to 1992 The Blyth Power Ashes has hosts Blyth Power at its heart but invites a wide range of musicians to their chosen venue of the year to enjoy their annual event. The event has grown significantly since its start and has taken place across many venues including Derbyshire, Norfolk and Peterborough. This year’s festival is to be held at The Hunters Inn in Longton.
Currently the line up is Blyth Power, Fishwife's Broadside, Pog, Boy in the Cupboard, Lying Scotsman, Cracktown, Jammie Sammy, Alcohol Licks, Robin Lawley, Wob, Teq, The Antipoet, Gary Kaye, Rachel Pantechnicon, Project Adorno, Michael James Parker, Refuse/All, On Trial UK, Verbal Warning, Monkish, Chris Butler, Tres Y El Ingles, Paul and Wendy Warning, Jerry Hellfire, Peaky Blinders, James Bar Bowen, The Disinclined, Fellow Travellers, Tim Holehouse, Doctor Bongo, Boatless Maniacs, Mick Tyas, Too Many Dragons, The Sturdy Beggar, Radio WKG and Johnny Campbell. We are waiting for a couple of others to confirm so at the moment the line up is full. Fastest yet I think!
The festival has a fun and quirky feel with a subverted cricket theme running alongside the music.
