Music at the Crossroads 2026
Music at the Crossroads returns from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July 2026 in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire. Set in the scenic grounds of the historic Hook Norton Brewery, this three-day festival offers live music, family activities, and local food amid the rolling North Oxfordshire hills.
Music
The festival features a diverse lineup across multiple stages, with performances in rock, folk, blues, pop, and more. Friday night kicks off with a lively opener, Saturday hosts a full schedule of acts, and Sunday afternoon offers a relaxed, family-friendly finale.
Food & Drink
Attendees can enjoy a range of food stalls offering gourmet burgers, pizzas, ice cream, and other treats. The bar and beer tent serve local ales, including Hook Norton Brewery’s brews, cocktails, coffee, and soft drinks. Picnic benches and lawns provide plenty of space to relax between sets.
Family Activities
Families are welcome with a dedicated kids’ area featuring face painting, arts and crafts, games, and storytelling. The spacious festival grounds are safe for children and well-behaved dogs on leads.
Community
Run by local volunteers, Music at the Crossroads supports charitable causes and celebrates nearly 30 years as a cherished local event. The festival fosters a welcoming, community atmosphere for all visitors.
By car: The festival is easy to reach by car with ample free parking onsite. If you're coming via the M40 (from London or Birmingham), take Junction 11 toward Banbury and then follow signs to Hook Norton via Chipping Norton (using the A361). As you approach the village, look for local signposts to the brewery. We recommend using postcode OX15 5NY for navigation. Roads around Hook Norton are rural and can be narrow, so allow a bit of extra travel time and drive carefully on busy festival days.
By public transport: Hook Norton doesn't have a train station of its own, so the nearest station is Banbury (on the Oxford–London/Birmingham line), about 7 miles away. From Banbury there are regular Stagecoach buses (route 488) to Hook Norton; the bus stops by the Pear Tree Inn and the church - just a few minutes’ walk from the festival site. Check the 488 timetable before you travel (Oxfordshire County Council publishes local bus schedules online). Alternatively, taxis are easy to find at Banbury station if you prefer a direct ride to Hook Norton (about 15–20 minutes).
By air: The closest major airports are Birmingham (BHX) and London (Heathrow, Gatwick or Luton). Birmingham Airport is about 50 miles north of Hook Norton, with good road and rail connections to Banbury. From London airports, take a train or coach to Oxford or Banbury, then continue by bus (as above) or hire a car/taxi. In all cases, allow 1.5-2 hours travel time from the airport to the festival site (depending on traffic and connections).
Accommodation: Many visitors camp on site – the festival provides space for tents, campervans and caravans (Friday and Saturday nights) with basic facilities (toilets/showers). Spots are limited, so book camping tickets early. If camping isn't your style, local quaint options are available. Hook Norton village has a couple of cozy B&Bs and pubs with rooms, and nearby towns (Banbury and Chipping Norton) have a range of hotels and guesthouses just a short drive away. These towns also offer restaurants and shops for an evening out. Wherever you stay, booking ahead is advisable since local rooms can fill up in summer.
