There are also regular routes from London Victoria and Charing Cross via the Southeastern network; journey times are typically around two hours. When you arrive at Margate station, the festival site at Hall By The Sea is just a short walk or quick taxi ride away. If you're coming from farther afield, long-distance coaches (like National Express) link London to Margate as well.

By car: Margate is accessible via the M2 motorway. Coming from London or the M25, take the M2 towards Canterbury, then the A299 (Thanet Way) into Margate. Without heavy traffic, the drive typically takes around two hours from London. The Hall By The Sea venue is near Dreamland, where parking is available (often paid). We recommend carpooling or arriving early to secure a spot. Nearby roads can become busy around the festival, so allow extra travel time and follow on-site parking instructions for a smooth experience.

By air: The nearest major airports are London Gatwick and Heathrow. From either airport, you can reach Margate by train, typically taking 2-3 hours in total. From Gatwick, take a train to London Victoria, then connect to a Southeastern service to Margate. From Heathrow, take the Heathrow Express or tube to central London, then transfer to the Southeastern high-speed line at St Pancras. London City Airport also offers domestic flights and is convenient for reaching central London. Southend and Stansted airports are farther away, but can be used if necessary.

Local travel: Margate itself is compact and festival-friendly. Local buses (such as the Arriva Thanet Loop) stop near Dreamland and the town centre, and taxis or ride-share services (Uber and similar) are readily available from the station. The festival grounds are easy to reach on foot from these stops, but roads may be crowded during the event. Arriving early or sharing rides can help avoid delays.

Accommodation: Margate (and the nearby towns) offers many overnight options. Book seaside hotels or cozy B&Bs close to the beach or town centre early, as they can fill up quickly. Broadstairs and Ramsgate, only a short drive or train ride away, provide additional hotels and guesthouses. For camping, several parks and campsites are located within driving distance of Margate - just plan your transport ahead.
