Holmfirth Festival of Folk
The ninth Holmfirth Folk Festival has been organised for 5th until 7th May 2017. It will take place in the local pubs and streets of Holmfirth and has a traditional country festival feel, with plenty of activities and attractions for festival goers of all ages. This is a free festival with collections taken, with some paid events including the Ceilidh.
The festivals traditional feel incorporates music sessions, workshops, folk clubs in the pubs all around Holmfirth. There are no acts announced for 2017 but it is bound to be a very community-driven experience with recognisable folk acts attending. There will also be over 20 Morris and World Dance sides performing, covering all kinds of dance from belly dance to salsa to traditional folk dancing.
