By train, the easiest access is via Pangbourne station (served by Great Western Railway). This line connects Pangbourne to Reading (about 5-10 minutes) and onward to London Paddington (around 40 minutes total). From Pangbourne station, the Englefield House venue is just a few miles away by taxi or ride-share – you can even walk if you enjoy a country lane stroll. Local buses (for example Thames Travel routes) also connect Reading and Pangbourne, so check local timetables if you prefer bus travel.
If driving, follow the M4 motorway to Junction 12 (Reading South) and take the A4 west toward Newbury. At the second roundabout, turn right onto the A340 signed to Pangbourne; Englefield House will be on the left about a mile later (look for event signs). There is ample dedicated parking on the estate grounds during concerts, and often advance parking tickets are available with your concert pass. Keep in mind that local roads can get congested around event times, so try to arrive early and follow the parking staff’s directions for a smooth entry.
The nearest major airport is London Heathrow (about 25-30 miles to the east). From Heathrow, you can take a train (Elizabeth Line or Heathrow Express) to Reading (about 25 minutes) and then switch to a local train or taxi for Pangbourne. Gatwick and Stansted airports are over an hour away, so they are less convenient for this event. If flying in, Heathrow is generally the best bet; once in Reading, you have frequent trains or can grab a cab to Pangbourne. Some visitors also book private rides from Heathrow directly to the concert, which is about a 45-minute drive.
Pangbourne itself has some quaint lodging options. The historic George Hotel by the river is a popular choice, and you’ll find a few cosy B&Bs and guesthouses in town. For a wider range of hotels, look to nearby Reading (just a short train or drive away) where many chains and boutique accommodations are located near the M4. The town of Newbury (a few miles south) also has several country inns and hotels. During concert weekends, these fill up fast, so reserve your stay early. Note that on-site camping is not available at this venue, so plan on booking local accommodation in advance.
