Crystal Palace Bowl 2026

From 31 July to 13 August 2026, the Crystal Palace Bowl in Terrace Straight, Crystal Palace, London, will host a vibrant open-air summer festival in the heart of Crystal Palace Park.

Music

The 2026 lineup features an eclectic mix of genres, including rock, funk, gospel, city pop, and indie. Highlights include performances from Grace Jones, Tom Jones, Kirk Franklin, Gary Numan, Bastille, and The Wombats.

Atmosphere

Set in the sunken amphitheatre of Crystal Palace Park, the festival offers a unique outdoor experience framed by a Victorian-era lake, historic parkland, and towering trees, creating a relaxed garden party vibe.

Food & Drink

Enjoy a variety of street food options and drinks, including craft beers and cocktails. Visitors can also bring picnics to enjoy on the grassy terraces.

Crystal Palace Bowl is easily reached by public transport. The nearest train stations are Crystal Palace (served by London Overground and National Rail services), Penge West (London Overground and National Rail) and Gipsy Hill (National Rail). From these stations, the Bowl is just a 10-15 minute walk through the grounds of Crystal Palace Park. London's comprehensive bus network also serves the area, with many routes stopping nearby. (For example, routes 3, 157, 249, 322 and 358 run to the Crystal Palace Parade stop.) We strongly encourage using trains and buses to visit the festival – it's fast, affordable and avoids road congestion.

Traveling from outside London is also straightforward. The closest major airport is Gatwick (roughly 30 minutes by train to Central London), with Heathrow about an hour away by train or coach. From either airport you can connect via train or Underground into the city, then take Overground services into Crystal Palace. If driving, note that the Bowl is easiest to reach via the A23/M23 corridor from the south or the South Circular (A205) from central London. Parking at the venue itself is very limited - we recommend leaving vehicles at nearby official car parks (like at Crystal Palace Station) and completing the last leg of your journey by bus or taxi.

London offers a wide range of places to stay. If you'd like to stay close by, Crystal Palace and nearby Anerley and Penge have several hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses within easy reach of the park. Just a short train or bus ride away you'll also find larger hotel chains and rental apartments in Croydon, Brixton or Clapham. To get the best rates, it's smart to book in advance – summer weeks fill up quickly. Plug the postcode SE19 2GA into booking websites to see all local options. Wherever you stay, give yourself a little extra time to travel on event nights, as London transport can be busy.
