Get ready for Beat The Streets, Nottingham's ultimate day-long music festival! Coming on Sunday, 25 January 2026, this energetic all-day event brings a city-wide celebration of live music to Nottingham. From afternoon through late at night, Nottingham buzzes with dozens of local bands and artists playing on multiple stages across town. Whether you love rock, pop, hip-hop, folk, or electronic tunes, Beat The Streets has something for you with an exciting lineup of Nottingham's finest homegrown talent. Imagine wandering between venues with friends, discovering new bands and enjoying an amazing soundtrack as you move from one corner of the city to another.

Beat The Streets isn't just about great music; it's also a heartwarming charity fundraiser. Each year the festival raises money for Nottingham's local homelessness charity, Framework, helping people in need across the city. Since its launch the event has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds – a testament to how our community comes together for good causes. Every ticket and every pint supports others, adding an extra layer of meaning to the fun. It's inspiring to be part of a festival where you can rock out with your friends and also make a positive impact on your community at the same time.

Expect the unexpected at Beat The Streets. It's a multi-venue festival, which means you might hop from a basement rock gig in one bar to an indie pop set across the street to a late-night DJ set in a club. The city's pubs, bars and halls become stages for a full day of diverse performances. The energy is always high and friendly – new discoveries await around every corner. You can wander between venues at your own pace, enjoy great drinks and local street food along the way, and soak in the creative vibe. The festival is a perfect way to experience Nottingham's vibrant music and arts scene in one place.

Joining in is easy. You can obtain a festival badge (often for a small donation) that grants access to music all day long – roaming between venues is part of the fun. Whether you're a long-time local or a first-time visitor, you'll find a welcoming crowd of music fans around. Bring friends, wear comfortable shoes (this is not an event to sit still!), and get ready to dance, sing, and have a great time. Throughout the day, the spirit stays friendly and safe for all ages, and you'll make memories from noon until night. With so many acts lined up across Nottingham, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Nottingham is very well connected, making it easy to reach from anywhere. Nottingham's main train station is in the city center and offers frequent services to and from London (about 1.5-2 hours), as well as direct trains to Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, and other major cities. If you are coming by plane, the nearest airport is East Midlands (EMA), about 20 miles away with regular trains and dedicated bus services (like the Skylink coach) to Nottingham. Birmingham and Manchester airports are also within a couple of hours by train. National and regional coaches and buses (such as National Express and Megabus) serve Nottingham too, stopping at the central bus station.

Getting around within Nottingham is convenient. The city center is compact and easy to explore on foot. For longer distances, Nottingham City Transport operates a comprehensive bus network in and around the city. There is also a modern tram service (NET) that links the city center to many suburbs; it's a fast and green way to travel. Many visitors use the Park & Ride lots, where you can park your car for free on the outskirts and take a tram into town. Taxis and rideshares are readily available too.

If you're driving, Nottingham is easily reached via the M1 motorway (exit at junctions 26 or 27). The city has many car parks close to the center. Some events and venues also offer parking. If you prefer not to drive into the busy center, consider one of the Park & Ride sites on the outskirts where you can take a tram or bus into town. This helps avoid traffic and gives you a chance to relax.

Nottingham offers a variety of accommodation for every budget. You'll find plenty of hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs right in the city center near Old Market Square, as well as some outside the center along the tram routes. Booking in advance is wise, especially during popular events. Staying central will put you at the heart of Nottingham's shops, restaurants and nightlife, but there are also affordable options in nearby suburbs. Wherever you stay, you'll be close to Nottingham's friendly atmosphere and have easy transport connections to the festival venues.
