By car, Compton Verney is easily reached via the UK’s motorway network. The festival site sits just off the B4086 between Banbury and Warwick – simply follow local signs for Kineton or Compton Verney. From London or the south, take the M40 north (exit at junction 12 toward Warwick/Leamington) and then local A-roads west. From Birmingham or the north, take the M42 to join the M40 (exit at junction 11), then head south on the A46/B4086 toward Kineton. Ample on-site parking is usually available (often included with tickets), making driving a convenient option.
Public transport is an option, though the festival is in a rural area. The nearest mainline station is Banbury (about 15–20 minutes by car) with direct trains from London (Marylebone) and Birmingham (Snow Hill). Warwick and Leamington Spa stations are also about 25–30 minutes away by car, connecting to London, Birmingham and beyond. From any of these stations you can take a taxi to Compton Verney. During the festival weekend, Stagecoach Midlands runs bus route 77 from Warwick Bridge End directly to Compton Verney (though service may be limited, so check the timetable). You could also take a local bus or train to nearby Kineton and then walk or cycle the remaining distance to the site.
If you're flying in, Birmingham Airport (BHX) is the closest major airport (about 40 miles away – roughly a 1-hour drive). East Midlands Airport (EMA) is around 60 miles northeast (about 1.5 hours by car), and London’s airports (Heathrow, Gatwick) are about 90–100 miles away (roughly 2 hours by car). From any airport, renting a car is recommended for flexibility; alternatively, you can take a train or coach into Banbury or Warwick and continue by taxi or local bus as above.
While Compton Verney does not have its own guest accommodations, there are many places to stay nearby. The surrounding Warwickshire countryside has charming bed & breakfasts and inns in villages such as Kineton, Napton or Ilmington. For hotels or larger resorts, the nearby towns of Banbury, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon (all within 30 minutes drive) offer a range of options. Some festival-goers also choose to camp – either on-site if the festival offers camping, or at nearby campsites and glamping fields. It's wise to book your accommodation well in advance, as summer weekends tend to book up quickly in this popular region.
