Resolution 242 is a group from Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom. It is a four-piece band whose sound is described as progressive dub rock and hip hop, with reggae, punk and ska associations in the wider tags attached to the act.

Line-up

The group’s current members are Alex on guitar and vocals, James on vocals, Oli on bass and vocals, and Adam on drums and samples. The band has also gone through a number of line-up changes, with past members including Jack B on bass, Lauren on backing vocals, and Perkie on vocals and melodica. Perkie later becomes known for work with The King Blues.

Releases and activity

Resolution 242 releases a self-titled EP, Resolution242, and is writing its first full-length album. The band also continues to build its live activity around regular gigging.

The group shares stages with a number of acts associated with the UK ska-punk scene, including Sonic Boom Six, Random Hand, The Skints, The King Blues, Inner Terrestrials and Dirty Revolution.
