Mellor

Mellor are an alternative rock and indie rock group from Reading. The band forms as a four-piece and is active from 2017.

The group releases music under the name Mellor and is described in its early activity as a Reading band with a pop-oriented sound. After its first gig, it attracts attention from BBC Introducing and spends its first year sharing bills with The Kooks, Pete Doherty, KT Tunstall and The Milk.

Its debut single, Catch Me Girl, appears in June 2012 and receives positive online reviews. The follow-up single gains national airplay on Absolute Radio. Mellor also records a debut EP at Miloco Studios in London.

The band is featured by NME, Artrocker, Drowned in Sound, BBC Introducing Radio and Q Radio support, and it is associated with comments from Linda Serck of BBC6 Music, MR Unsigned and AAA Music about its songcraft and likely festival presence.
