James Yorkston and The Athletes

James Yorkston and The Athletes is the name Scottish folk musician James Yorkston uses for a run of recordings made with friends and associates between 2002 and 2006. The project is associated with folk, singer-songwriter, indie and acoustic music, and the material is also now credited simply to James Yorkston on streaming platforms.

Line-up

The Athletes are Faisal on percussion, harmonium and lap steel; Reuben on accordion, concertina and piano; Holly on small pipes and whistle; Doogie on double bass and banjo; Wendy on violin; and John Bews on violin.
