Den Sorte Skole
Den Sorte Skole is a Copenhagen-based Danish group active since 2003. It works with experimental, leftfield and turntablism-oriented music, and it remixes material by both Danish and American artists.
The group consists of Aage Jæger, Langefinger and LeBon. Its first album is Lektion #1, a title that translates into English as “Lesson #1”.
The second album, Lektion #2, follows the first with a broader range of sampled music and uses six turntables, compared with four on Lektion #1. It is part of the group’s work in mashup and sample-based collage, built from diverse source material.
