Craig Smith is a Christian music artist from Kansas City, Missouri. He is also identified as Craig Smith Jr.

He grows up between his parents’ homes and later lives with Craig Smith Sr. in California for nine months while attending school in Van Nuys, California. He attends Raytown South High School, a suburb of Kansas City.

In high school, he begins making music with Chief Wakil and Greg Enemy in a group called The Renegades. The collective releases four mixtapes in Kansas City before the members move on to separate projects in 2007.

As a solo artist, he releases a series of free projects, including Anomaly in 2007, My Fly Mixtape and The Introduction in 2008, and 1988 in 2009.
