Liz Hobbs on bringing Discovery Festival to Darlington

Liz Hobbs is bringing a brand-new music festival to Darlington this summer. A former world champion water skier, Liz is the visionary behind the Discovery Festival, taking place at Mowden Park from Friday, August 7 to Sunday, August 9. The festival will see music acts like Five, Marc Almond, and Ella Henderson perform in the town over the August weekend.

Liz dominated world level water skiing for more than a decade, winning British, European, and world titles and setting speed records before retiring undefeated in 1987. She then transitioned into the music industry, starting with post-race concerts at horse racing events before launching the ambitious Grandslam live touring concept.

Discovery Festival is the latest project by Liz Hobbs, aiming to bring music and sports together in a unique weekend event. With a lineup of popular artists, the festival promises to be a memorable experience for music lovers in Darlington and beyond.
