Hampton Court Palace Festival Announces First Headline Act for 2020

Historic Royal Palaces and IMG are delighted to announce soul superstar George Benson as the first act confirmed to headline at next summer’s Hampton Court Palace Festival

Taking place in June 2020 the concerts are held in Base Court, one of the magnificent Tudor courtyards within the palace. George Benson will headline on Friday 19th June, tickets for this show are on general sale Friday 27th September, available from www.hamptoncourtpalacefestival.com

George Benson has received ten Grammy Awards throughout his illustrious career. The Jazz guitar legend has released an incredible 45 albums since his debut in 1964, the most recent - Walking To New Orleans - was out earlier this year. With a back catalogue spanning six decades and countless hit singles including ‘Never Give Up On A Good Thing’, ‘Breezin’’, ‘This Masquerade’ and ‘Give Me The Night’ his appearance at Hampton Court Palace Festival is set to be an unforgettable night.

Now in its 28th year, Hampton Court Palace Festival, is a series of truly special and unique open-air concerts. Artists perform in an intimate 3,000-seat auditorium in Base Court, set against the backdrop of Henry VIII’s magnificent Tudor Palace.
