Fieldview Festival in Wiltshire faces cancellation if 150 more tickets aren't sold soon according to organiser Dan Cameron.
Lack of Ticket Sales Threatens Wiltshire Music Festival
A community favorite in Wiltshire, the Fieldview Festival is in jeopardy as organizers announce plans to cancel this year's event if ticket sales do not pick up.
Event Details
The annual music festival, known as Wiltshire's biggest little music festival, is scheduled to take place over four days starting from July 31 in Little Somerford near Malmesbury. Despite having K.O.G and the Ishmael Ensemble as headliners, the festival is struggling to meet its ticket sales target.
Organizer's Warning
Organizer Dan Cameron expressed concerns over the festival's future, stating that an additional 150 tickets need to be sold within the next week to avoid cancellation. The non-profit festival, which started in 2007, relies heavily on ticket sales to cover costs.
Challenges Faced
The festival, which saw a peak attendance of 3,500 before the pandemic, is now battling the economic climate and a competitive summer events schedule. Despite community support and volunteer efforts, the festival is struggling to break even this year.
Community Support
Cameron praised the local community for their ongoing support but emphasized the need for increased ticket sales to ensure the festival's survival. With eight stages and a reputation for quality music and food, the festival is hoping to replicate last year's success.
Get Involved
Residents are encouraged to participate and show their support for the Fieldview Festival by purchasing tickets and spreading the word. For those interested in contributing or sharing story ideas, contact information is provided on the festival's website.
