Maximo Park’s lead singer Paul Smith said, It's exciting to finally play the Great Escape - it's got a reputation for showcasing the best of independent music in a unique coastal location.

The Great Escape 2012 is pleased to be announcing a further 91 new additions to the line-up. The new bunch includes everyone from established names to recently unearthed raw talent and pretty much everything in between, all set to burst out into the glittering lights of Brighton this May, spanning 30 venues in total across the city.

Fresh acts heading to the seaside festival this May include double platinum selling MAXIMO PARK, Frankfurt electro veterans BOOKA SHADE, quirk-pop legends THE MYSTERY JETS, glorious folk troubadour BETH JEANS HOUGHTON & THE HOOVES OF DESTINY, folk/soul innovator LIANNE LAHAVAS, good time blues rockers ALABAMA SHAKES, prodigious house/pop alchemist MADEON, Seattle hip hop collective SHABAZZ PALACES, ethereal genius and local boy GROSS MAGIC and the quite frankly indefinable FOREST SWORDS.
