Rockstar Energy presents Creamfields is going all out for its 20th year at Daresbury, with its latest announcement confirming the long-awaited return of electronic pioneers Underworld, who will take over the iconic Steel Yard on Saturday 29th August Bank Holiday weekend.
One of Creamfields’ most legendary live acts, Underworld first made their festival debut back in 2002 before delivering an unforgettable performance in 2008 to mark the festival’s 10th anniversary. Now almost two decades on, they’re back – and the timing couldn’t be more fitting, with this year marking 30 years of their timeless anthem ‘Born Slippy’, a track that defined a generation and remains one of dance music’s most enduring classics. Their return for Creamfields’ 20th year at Daresbury edition is a true full circle moment for both artist and festival.
Few acts embody the spirit and evolution of electronic music like Underworld. From shaping the sound of the underground to soundtracking Olympic ceremonies to headlining some of the world’s biggest stages, all without losing their edge or credibility, their influence is immeasurable. Yet it’s their live performances that have secured their place as one of the most vital and enduring acts in electronic music.
This announcement follows recent reveals, with Calvin Harris and Sonny Fodera already confirmed for the 2026 edition. With 80,000 dance music fans set to descend on Daresbury from Thursday 27th – Sunday 30th August 2026, Creamfields is gearing up for another unmissable chapter in its history, armed with a lineup that bridges generations of dance culture.
