Cholsey and Wallingford Railway to Provide Transport for BunkFest
Cholsey and Wallingford Railway will be providing transport to one of the largest free festivals in the UK next weekend. BunkFest, which is held at the Kine Croft in Wallingford, is the only festival of its kind in the county, put on every year for more than two decades by a dedicated team of more than 400 volunteers.
Cholsey and Wallingford Railway will run trains on all three days of the festival, starting at 2pm on Friday, August 29. Trains will run late each night, departing Wallingford at 10.40pm on Friday night, 10.55pm on Saturday, and 7pm on Sunday. Trains will depart from Cholsey around half an hour later.
Festival-goers can also enjoy performances by artists on the trains during the days and evening, and at the station. The trains will also have ales on board, and there will be a bar at Wallingford Station.
The railway is offering all-weekend tickets and all-day tickets, allowing unlimited travel on a single day. Weekend ticket holders will receive a wristband to wear for the duration of the festival. Single tickets for evening trains home are also available for purchase on the day. Walk-up tickets are available to buy at Wallingford, or on the train if boarding at Cholsey. The full train timetable is available on the Cholsey and Wallingford Heritage Railway website.
