New Opportunities Set To Amplify Leicester’s Music Scene

A wave of new opportunities for young and emerging music artists is set to hit Leicester, following the Leicester Music Board’s successful bid for Youth Music Trailblazer funding.

Led by TiME (Technology in Music Education) in partnership with Leicestershire Music, the new ‘Leics Connect’ talent development program will support young musicians through high-quality mentoring, skills development, and live performance opportunities, helping them take meaningful next steps in their creative careers.

Leicester Music Conference

Participants will receive free access to the third Leicester Music Conference, taking place at 2Funky Music Complex and The Venue @ DMU on 26–27 February 2026. The conference attracts artists, industry professionals, and music organizations from across the country, offering panels, discussions, practical workshops, artist showcases, and networking opportunities.

Riverside Festival Performance

‘Leics Connect’ artists will have the chance to perform on the main stage at Leicester City Council’s free Riverside Festival on June 6 and 7, 2026, providing a platform to reach new audiences.
