The Other Voices Cardigan festival in 2025 has unveiled its lineup with exciting headliners confirmed. Among the performers are Westside Cowboy, Ye Vagabonds, and Gruff Rhys. The festival, taking place from October 30 to November 1, will showcase over 100 live performances in various venues throughout the town.
Philip King, founder of Other Voices, expressed his enthusiasm for bringing the event to Cardigan and highlighted the diverse range of new music from Ireland and Wales. The festival aims to celebrate the unique identities and shared connections between the two countries through music and language.
The festival will feature a series of trilingual conversations focusing on local perspectives and big-picture issues. Artists like Westside Cowboy, RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award winners Ye Vagabonds, and Welsh musician Gruff Rhys will headline the event.
Live Streamed Performances and Lineup
All performances at St Mary's Church will be live-streamed on the Other Voices YouTube channel. The festival will host more than 50 acts over the weekend, with BBC broadcaster Huw Stephens returning as the host. Newly added acts include Afrocluster, Annie-Dog, Basht, Carys Eleri, and many more.
Production and Partnership
The Other Voices Cardigan festival is produced by South Wind Blows in collaboration with Mwldan and Triongl, supported by the Welsh Government, Ceredigion County Council, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and BBC Cymru Wales. The event will be filmed for future television broadcast on BBC Cymru Wales, RTÉ, BBC iPlayer, and RTÉ Player.
