The 34th Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival is just around the corner, set to attract music enthusiasts to Colne. Event co-ordinator Simon Shackleton is excited for the festival and encourages everyone to have a great time.
Line-Up and Venues
This year's festival features top names from the British Blues scene, including When Rivers Meet, Beaux Gris Gris and the Apocalypse, Brave Rival, Alice Armstrong, and Gerry McAvoy’s Band of Friends. With three main stages and 16 fringe venues, there will be live music across the town for three days.
Community Effort
Colne Blues Society has taken over the festival's programming for the third year in a row. The society's goal is to ensure the festival continues to thrive and benefit the community. Simon Shackleton emphasizes the festival's community-focused approach, highlighting that any profits made go back into the event.
