Longridge-based Skiddle and the Association of Independent Festivals have collaborated to offer a support scheme for independent festivals in the UK, providing assistance that includes marketing support, online event management courses, and more.
Skiddle and AIF Supporting Independent Festivals
Longridge-based online ticketing platform Skiddle and the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) have teamed up to offer a first-of-its-kind support scheme for the UK’s independent festival scene. The initiative aims to champion and sustain the independent events ecosystem by providing winners with a free one-year membership to AIF.
The winners will gain access to a support network of expert peers and services, along with a bespoke marketing support package from Skiddle. This package will include a featured listing in Skiddle’s Festival Guide, reaching millions of monthly visitors, as well as editorial and content support to showcase their events and lineups.
Benefits for Recipients
The support package will also include full website design and build where necessary, paid media support to reach new audiences, and dedicated account management from Skiddle’s festival experts. Successful applicants will receive a free online event management course from Event Masters, a 30-minute brand consultation, and a free Songkick mailer to boost promotion.
Supported Festivals
22 festivals have been selected to receive support from this initiative. Some of the festivals chosen include Caribbean Rocks, Bexfest, Valley Fest, Street Eats 'n' Beats, Days Festival, and more.
The AIF, formed in 2008, has been the voice of the UK’s independent festivals and has played a critical role in initiatives such as Safer Spaces at Festivals. Skiddle has been a strong supporter of independent promoters and festivals, helping audiences discover and enjoy live music experiences of all sizes. The collaboration between Skiddle and AIF aims to strengthen the independent festival industry and provide long-term support for festivals in the UK.
