We Are The Ocean Talk To UK Festival Guides At NAS

We Are The Ocean talk to UK Festival Guides while performing at this years Relentless NASS. Check out what they have to say about this years past and present festival scene.

What do you think of NASS so far?
Cool! It's been raining so we haven't really explored much.

Are you into action sports like BMX or Skateboarding?
We like to watch it. I tried it when I was younger but just kept injuring myself. We've got a lot of friends that do skateboarding and stuff but it's definitely something that you get into when your younger and unless your really good at it, you don't follow through with it and none of us were any good at it.

What is your favourite festival?
Relentless Boardmasters! Boardmasters is great, it's by the beach and we've been really lucky, every time we've played there the weather has been really nice, there's always a great atmosphere. We have all been to Reading festival at least three or four times and it's always fun. Download and Sonisphere are cool.

What are your recommendations for the summer?
We are looking forward to playing at Boardmasters and Reading and Leeds. But to be honest, if we weren't here today we'd be at Sonisphere, Slipknot are playing on Sunday, it's got one of the strongest line-ups.

What's your worst festival experience?
We haven't really had any bad ones; we've been pretty lucky. ‘Intro’ springs to mind. A couple of weeks ago we played at a festival in Middlesborough, it was in a courtyard with an ice-cream truck, and Danny climbed on top of it and smashed a window. The backstage area was really odd; it was just like a courtroom.

What are your essential items to take to a festival?
Toilet roll, Hand Santiser, Deodorant and Clothes!!
