Octane OK

Following the critical and commercial success of their first E.P ‘So Alive’ & UK headline tour, Octane OK hit the road early December with a short UK tour going into January.

New single ‘Standing On My Own’ sees the band Octane OK develop their trademark sound – the melodies and hooks are still present but they are underpinned by a harder edge – driving aggressive guitars more prominent. This maturing approach is demonstrated on the forthcoming debut album ‘Face the Facts’. Recorded in the Summer of 2012 at Sonic Ranch, Texas, produced by Jason Perry (Kids in Glass Houses, The Blackout) & James ’Lerock’ Loughery (Skindred, Manic Street Preachers) and mixed by John Mitchell (The Blackout, Enter Shikari, You Me At Six), the album is set for release in 2013.

Formed in late 2008, the band have spent the last four years getting in the van, travelling the country and honing their live show playing with the likes of Theory Of A Deadman, Kill Hannah and Sugarcult also headlining the ‘Kerrang Radio Breakthru’ Tour in December 2011. Their reputation as a live act is such that their Feb 2011 homecoming show at Birmingham O2 Academy was a 600 sell out…

Previous singles “Fly Again”, “Curtain Call” & “The One” were widely picked up by both radio and TV. In addition to numerous plays across Kerrang, XFM & Q radio, ‘The One’ hit No 13 in the Kerrang radio top 20. The video reached No 8 on Kerrang TV’s Most Wanted, Scuzz TV's top favourite on their bangin Rock Video's section and made the Top Ten on Kerrang & Scuzz TV’s request charts.

The band has been confirmed as support to Crown Jewel Defence in January 2013.
