Mulletover's 7th Birthday Bash Review

Mulletover

On Saturday 2nd April, Mulletover came to town to celebrate its 7th birthday at Ewer Street Warehouse. Here's what happened...

It was Saturday 2nd April and we were on our way to London’s biggest electro birthday bash of the weekend. It was Mulletover’s 7th and from what we had heard we were in for an unforgettable night at Ewer Street Warehouse, the venue.

As we pulled up outside, you could sense that it was going to be a mad one. There were people everywhere, all ages and sizes but were there for one thing and one thing only, a bloody good party. And that is exactly what they got.

From the moment you walked through the door into the corridor arch you could hear some seriously sexy summery beats and that meant everywhere you looked you could see people getting their groove on. It almost instantly put us on the same level as everyone else there, but we were missing one thing; an ice cold beverage.

Beer in hand we went to check out the 2 arenas and were not surprised to see every corner of the warehouse’s archways shaking to the sound of the underground beats. We found ourselves in arena 2 where Gerd Janson from Running Back Records was smashing out some proper uplifting beats. Every single person having a little dance had a smile on their face. It was superb. A quality atmosphere.

After that we found ourselves outside grabbing a quick break with a cheeky cigarette and another beer. It was needed, badly.

The main arena was calling and we couldn’t help but oblige. The first thing you noticed when you walked in was the amazing array of lights and lasers. So in we went and through the crowd we squeezed. We made it to the front where there was actually more space than at the back, very weird but no complaints. It was packed, and for one reason only, Reboot was throwing out some serious tunes from all different electronic dance genres. It was immense. Everyone in sight was going mental. There were people on each other’s shoulders and allsorts. Such a great happy excitable vibe.

We were clearly there for the duration, or thought we were until someone gave me a flier for an after party starting at 7am and finishing at 3pm. There was no chance we could make it through so reluctantly we headed outside for our last cheeky beer and just took in the atmosphere before we started our mission home. It was memorable to say the least.

All in all it was a superb birthday bash in a fantastic venue hosted by some of the World’s greatest Electronic dance music DJs with some of the friendliest ravers I have ever met. What more can you ask for from a Saturday night out.
