Every year the glamorous Henley Festival in partnership with BMW brings together a monumental mix of music, comedy, theatre and pop up dining. Now, new for 2015 the festival opens its doors to a world of wonder and entertainment just for families at the specially curated Family Day, on Sunday 12th July. Featuring a unique performance from critically acclaimed Kinetika Bloco on the Floating Stage, mesmerising theatrical shows, comedy for kids, and of course, the signature Henley Festival Roving Troupe of Entertainers, this is the first time all ages* can experience the extraordinary atmosphere. Tickets for this special addition to the bill are on sale now from www.henley-festival.co.uk, priced from £7.50 for children up to 12 and £15 per adult. A family ticket is inclusive of up to 2 adults plus 3 children priced at just £35.

Taking place against the backdrop of the River Thames from 11.30am – 3.00pm, venues, bars and restaurants welcome everyone aged 4 and over to experience a magical, mini version of the world renowned Henley Festival.

Starting in The Salon from 11:45am will be Catapluf’s Musical Journey, a one off show that transports the audience to a place where everything is musical. Saucepans, water, drums and even the body are instruments in this 50-minute show packed full of live music from every corner of the globe. Over in the Bedouin Quarter, Illyria – The Sorcerer’s Apprentice unveils an intriguing piece of outdoor theatre, bringing to life the original boy-wizard story, most famously told in Disney’s Fantasia. Expect magnificent storytelling, accompanied by compelling visual performances from this unmissable family treat.

Providing 60 minutes of big laughs for little ones will be James Campbell, who presents stand up comedy for kids in The Salon from 1pm, perfect to put a smile on the young audiences’ faces. All the while the festival’s signature fun and quirky Roving Troupe of Entertainers will be popping up across the site and around every corner. The colourful group includes Crazy Pony who combine world music and acrobatics, miniature film experiences in Bakkie-Bike’s worlds smallest cinema, France’s Aquacoustic’s concert in a paddling pool and Scubabianchi’s underwater car. Impressive Greek statues come to life as a river’s worth of water erupts from all over their bodies, turning them into mesmerizing human fountains. With so much to see and do, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the festival like never before.

Explosive, creative performance group Kinetika Bloco, are set to showcase a one off special concert on Floating Stage and will provide the finale to the first Henley Festival Family Day, from 2:05pm. Bringing together an exuberant mix of young brass and woodwind players, drummers, steel pan and dynamic dancers all in costume, Kinetika Bloco draw influences from the Caribbean, Brazil, West and Southern Africa, New Orleans jazz, Funk and Hip Hop and are sure to have guests of all ages on their feet.
