St Albans' George Street Gin & Jazz Festival Cancelled Due to Adverse Weather

St Albans' annual Gin & Jazz Festival has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. St Albans BID announced the cancellation of the popular George Street event citing concerns for the safety of customers and vendors. The event was scheduled for this evening (October 3) but had to be called off due to the adverse weather and forecast conditions. St Albans BID, along with the George Street Retail Association, expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and emphasized that attendee and vendor safety is their top priority.

Vendor Reactions and Market Cancellation

One of the vendors, Dylans at the Kings Arms, expressed sadness over the cancellation and pointed out the forecasted wet conditions due to Storm Amy. Additionally, St Albans City and District Council confirmed that the Saturday market would also be cancelled due to high wind gusts reaching up to 52mph.
