The Almondsbury Creative pub in South Gloucestershire is hosting a smaller version of its country music festival, featuring artists like Jess & the Bandits and Gasoline & Matches.
Small Version of Country Music Festival
The landlord of Almondsbury Creative pub in South Gloucestershire has announced a one-day country music festival event taking place on Saturday, September 13. The event will feature artists including Jess & the Bandits, Gasoline & Matches, Taynee Lord, Gina Larner, and Craig Gould. The decision to host a smaller version of the festival for 2025 was made after the success of a smaller Father's Day event earlier in the year.
Background of the Event
In 2024, the pub hosted a larger festival that included acts like Five, Liberty X, Jaguar Skills, and more. However, due to poor weather conditions, the turnout was not as expected. Despite this setback, the pub decided to bring back a smaller version of the event for 2025, focusing on delivering a great lineup of artists at an affordable ticket price of £12.50.
Previous Year's Festival
The 2024 'Small Town, Big Music' festival was held at Almondsbury Recreation Ground and aimed to be Bristol's biggest country music festival. The festival also supported various charities including The Grand Appeal, Jessie May Hospice at Home, and Almondsbury Parish Hall & Recreation Ground. The event received recognition at the Great British Pub Awards, where it was named runner-up in the Community Hero category. The pub donated its prize money to The Grand Appeal charity.
Future Plans
The pub owner expressed uncertainty about hosting STBM '26, citing the challenges faced by the hospitality industry and the importance of securing sponsors for future events. The success of the 2025 event will determine the feasibility of future festivals, and potential sponsors are encouraged to get involved to support the event.
