Kerrang Awards Voting Starts Today

The Kerrang! Awards 2012 fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink will take place Thursday 7 June, and will be the first under the helm of new Kerrang! Editor James McMahon.

Kerrang! Magazine – the UK’s biggest selling music weekly – has today announced that this year’s Kerrang! Awards fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink will introduce a brand new list of awards categories, giving the event an extra special spark and extending the appeal into the wider world of entertainment!
 
These new categories are: Best TV Show, Best Video Game, Best Film, Best Comedian, Tweeter of the Year, Hottest Female, Hottest Male, Villain Of the Year, Hero Of The Year and Best Festival.
 
Open Voting on the new categories plus Best British Newcomer, Best International Newcomer, Best Single, Best Video, Best Album, Best Live Band, Best British Band (sponsored by Fender) and Best International Band, opens today (Wednesday 4 April) in Kerrang! Magazine and www.kerrang.com. 

The Kerrang! Awards 2012 fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink will take place Thursday 7 June, and will be the first under the helm of new Kerrang! Editor James McMahon. This year also marks the third consecutive year of Relentless Energy Drink’s headline sponsorship of the Awards, continuing a close relationship which also sees an annual nationwide multi-artist tour that has been sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink for the past five years. 
 
Other honorary awards to be presented on the night include The Devotion Award sponsored by Relentless Energy Drink, which are awarded by the K! judging panel.
