Axis Sound Systems Dr Huxtable returns to Wickerma

Eight of the UK’s top reggae acts have been added to the tenth anniversary line-up for The Wickerman Festival 2011 (22-23 July) to ensure celebrations will continue well into the night.

Axis Sound System’s Dr Huxtable said: “This year’s tenth anniversary is the perfect reason to celebrate into the early hours. The Axis Sound System reaches parts that no other can – that’s why we say: it’s reggae music in a velvet earthquake sound. With a selection of the UK’s top acts joining me in the AXIS Reggae Tent, we’ll have this year’s festival goers partying in style.”

Taking place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July at East Kirkcarswell Farm in Dumfries & Galloway, the tenth festival will feature ten stages including the AXIS Reggae Tent, Summerisle Stage, Scooter Tent, The Acoustic Village, Bass Camp, Greenman Inn, Headphone Arena, Ho Down Wendy House, Solus and for the first time the goNORTH Festival Tour Stage.

Bushrocker Hi Fi join to take crowds on a journey into the unknown with their wide ranging repertoire and with CoJo at the helm joined by Bradford based Mr P, they’re sure to add their own flavour to the celebrations.

With multiple musical releases under his belt along with international acclaim, multi-talented Mikey D.O.N from Chorley will be on hand to guarantee further musical satisfaction.
