Whitby Sea Festival

Whitby Sea Festival is an annual festival which takes place in and around the historic Yorkshire seaport of Whitby, one of Britain's premier maritime heritage sites.

The festival celebrates the towns connections to fishing, the sea and it's maritime heritage. Since it's beginnings in 1993 as The Captain Cook Festival and then for 12 years at Seafest in Scarborough the event has staged some of the biggest gatherings of shantymen and folk musicians in the UK.

Whitby Sea Festival brings the town alive with the sound of Shanties and Sea Songs.
