The Traquair Fair

The Traquair Fair is a bi-ennial event set in the magical grounds of Traquair House. One of the best family events in Scotland it was established in 1976, originally as a Craft Fair and over 30 years later has grown into a wonderful extravaganza of Theatre, Music, Outdoor Spectacles, Dance, Children’s Entertainment, Crafts, Food and Workshops for all ages. In 2013 we had a Sixties theme with special appearances from the Troggs and The Animals. There was a pop up cinema showing “Tamlin” starring Ava Gardner and filmed at Traquair in 1969. A fashion exhibition with living models in the House. Street theatre shows, a space themed Children’s Area and much more.
