Swaledale Festival

Combining an inviting programme of both ticketed and free events Swaledale Festival takes over venues in the villages of Swaledale itself as well as Wensleydal and Arkengarthdale in the surrounding area. There are usually at least 40 ticketed events per festival with plenty of free activities, gallery works and a celebration of a wide range of genres of music including classic, choral, folk, world music and jazz.

In 2015 Swaledale Festival has a busy and vibrant line-up including Kathryn Tickell and The Side, Ian M. Anderson, Kit Downes & Tomas Challenger, Škampa Quartet, Leon Bosch and Sung-Suk Kang, Leyburn Band, Rosalind Ventris & Pau Codina, Nine Daies Wonder by The Society of Strange and Ancient Instruments, Sean Shibe, The King’s Singers, Big Sing Day with Bob Chilcott, Black Dyke Band, Rowan Pierce and Simon Passmore, Northern Voices & Werca's Folk, The Urban Folk Quartet, Meridiem Duo: Sarah Miller and Elinor Nicholson, Swale Singers, The Railsplitters, Stuart Masters, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and many more.
