The Swaledale Festival was founded in 1980 to celebrate music in the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales and its 33rd festival runs over 2 weeks from Saturday 25th May to Saturday 8th June 13. The festival focuses mostly on classical but choral, folk, jazz and brass bands also feature as do films, exhibitions, workshops, talks, poetry readings, and guided walks.

There should be around 50 to 60 ticketed performance as well a series of free events.  The events are held at multiple venues across Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale in the North Yorkshire Dales.  Tickets and lineup are not yet released - to check for ticket availability, click here.
