Musicport On The Moors
Musicport is a non-profit organisation that is based in the community and acts on behalf of the local community. The story of this event started as far back as the furn of the century when they put an event on in celebration of the Millennium.
Following that first event, 18 more have followed, with the event celebrating its 18th birthday in 2017.
Over those years, many big names have played at the event, which takes place in the Whitby Pavilion, suitably decked out for the occasion. Such illustrious stars arw Talvin Singh, Chumbawumba, The Blockheads, Arthur Brown, The Levellers, The Buena Vista Social Club and so much more.
Musicport On The Moors is an offshoot of the main Musicport Festival and takes place at The Hut in Goathland.
