Merry Tom Folk Festival is run by a group of like-minded people none of whom will benefit financially from the Festival. They all share a love of folk music events and understand the value such events bring to attendees, whether audience, artist or the community.
Few opportunities exist within the area for local families to experience high-quality arts events, on a limited budget and a convenient location. Work-shops and after-performance opportunities to meet with artists and discuss music making are also considered to be particularly inspirational opportunities for attendees and artists alike and could prove a catalyst to new talent from within our area.
